VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Pamoja Afya Initiative Volunteer Program   welcomes passionate, skilled, and committed healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, and entrepreneurs to contribute their expertise in advancement of our health and youth related program.  Our Volunteers are placed in different destinations surrounding national parks in Uganda where there is high demand for knowledgeable and experienced medical volunteers to assist with essential healthcare services and youth mentorship volunteers while they get an amazing experience in Uganda’s beautiful wildlife, nature and amazing cultures surrounding national parks and tourist destinations in these rural areas. The program  therefore  give opportunity to gain hands-on medical experience while providing much needed care to disadvantaged people without proper access to healthcare. While working with us we always make sure you’re safe and comfortable.

VOLUNTEER CATEGORIES

·         Healthcare volunteers:

We offer volunteer placements for skilled medical professionals which give them a chance to get a new work experience in a new culture and environment. This program helps medical professional and   medical students looking to gain valuable experience in a medical hospital setting learning more about tropical diseases or working in a community.

We welcome volunteers   participate  in  medical camps by  conducting blood tests, engaging in community outreach to deliver messages on  preventive healthcare, assisting with family planning and sexual reproductive health, mental health counseling, treating minor injuries, offering antenatal  and dental care,  promoting hygiene and sanitation, offering first aid and  supporting patients in hospitals among others.

As a medical volunteer of Pamoja Health Initiative in Uganda, you will therefore have the opportunity to work in hospitals and clinics, providing critical support in various areas. Your tasks may include performing outpatient procedures,. Depending on your background, skills, and interests, you will work alongside permanent doctors, contributing to vital healthcare services in rural communities.

·         Youth development Volunteers: The program welcomes volunteers who  Mentorship  to  young people in ICT , conducting career guidance workshops, organizing recreational and life skills activities.

·         Administrative support Volunteers:  We need volunteers to Assist in program coordination, fundraising efforts , data entry for health or youth initiatives.
