Life Skills Program
Our Life Skills Program teaches youth to focus on what is important, relate well with one another, do what is right as well as being organized and creative. This program empowers both in- school students and their teachers with key life skills to prepare them succeed in the 21st century. The program forms Youth Wellbeing Clubs both in schools and communities, equip them with necessary tools and resources, and transfer to them key skills which include;- Communication, emotional intelligence, critical thinking and problem-solving, classroom Leadership and decision-making, adaptability and resilience, teamwork and collaboration, ethical and professional conduct, technological and ICT skills among others. These skills empower youth to become disciplined, acquire leadership skills, and develop their public speaking abilities capable of speaking with confidence in the public like on radio talk shows, compose songs, poems, drama skits , and utilize them to convey messages to fellow pupils, communities, parents and out of school children and youth during community outreaches. With these skills, the youth are also able to sensitize their fellow peers on harmful cultural practices like Female Genital Mutilation, teenage pregnancy, child marriages, as well as urge them to prioritize education.
