Pamoja Afya Initiative uses technology to optimize emergency medical services.  We run a centralized emergency response system integrating GPS tracking, real-time communication, and automated dispatch systems in order to improve response times.  We operate Mobile apps allowing tourists to request emergency assistance. Access medical information, and receive real-time updates on the nearest medical facility in case of any eventuality.  In future, the program will use Drones to deliver medical supplies, assess accident scenes, and provide emergency communication in areas with limited connectivity.

Collaboration with Local Authorities, Hotels, and Tour Operators

Pamoja Afya Initiative’s EMS program builds partnerships between emergency service providers, local authorities, hotels, tour operators, and other stakeholders. Hotels and resorts are equipped with first aid kits and have trained staff to handle initial medical interventions before emergency responders arrive. Tour operators are also empowered training on emergency procedures and be able to guide tourists on what to do in case of a medical emergency.  The program establishes agreements with nearby hospitals, private clinics, and pharmacies. To ensure that emergency patients receive proper medical care promptly.

Public Awareness and Tourist Education about EMS Programs

The program sensitizes tourists about available emergency medical services. To help them know how to respond in case of a health crisis. This has developed Informational materials, including brochures, digital guides, and multilingual signages which are distributed at airports, hotels, and tourist centers.
